Privacy Policy

MD Viewer does not collect, store or share any personal data. Your files never leave your Mac.

What the app accesses

  • Files you open. The app reads the Markdown files you open so it can display them. When you check off a task in a document, it writes that change back to the same file. You can turn this off in Settings.
  • Folders you grant access to. If you allow access to a folder (so local images and linked documents can load), the app remembers that permission on your Mac. You can remove it at any time in Settings → Folder Access.
  • Images on the web. If a document references an image by web address, the app downloads that image to display it, just like a web browser would. No information about you is sent beyond the standard request for the image.
  • Your editor. When you use Open in Editor, the app asks macOS to open the file in the app you chose. Nothing else is shared.

What the app does not do

  • No analytics, tracking, advertising or crash-reporting services.
  • No accounts or sign-in.
  • No data is sent to the developer or to any third party.
  • No AI services. The app displays files; it doesn’t send their contents anywhere.

The app runs in the macOS App Sandbox, which limits it to the files and folders you give it.

Purchases

MD Viewer is sold through the Mac App Store. Payment, refunds and your Apple Account are handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy. DevPro receives no personal information about who buys the app.

This website

mdviewer.devpro.gr is a set of static pages. It uses no cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and it loads no fonts, scripts or images from other sites.

The site is served by Firebase Hosting, a Google service. Like any web server, it processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the pages and protect against abuse. DevPro does not use this information to identify or track visitors. See Firebase’s privacy information.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
